The iPhone is a great device. It plays music, videos, downloads your email, surfs the Interwebs and even makes calls! Now, the iPhone can also scan barcodes and give you cool Mac tips* as well!

Decode the image below for a cool surprise

You will need:

  • an iPhone with software version 2.0 or higher
  • the Barcode application (available here - FREE)
  • 5 minutes (you’ll get this back once you figure out the tip)

A house of 9 AirPort Expresses

Roman Marszalek, Aug 27 2008

I am installing 9 AirPort Expresses in a large house today to provide wireless access throughout. They were configured en masse yesterday via one master configuration file.

All of the wireless access points will be connected by ethernet to the network in bridge mode, with the same SSID (wireless network name) and password so that clients (laptops and iPhones) will automatically connect to whichever they have the strongest connection to once they provided authentication details for one of them.

Simply take your power adapter to your nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorised service provider.
